About us

The Acoustics Research Group of Montréal (GRAM) is based at ÉTS (École de technologie supérieure), an establishment of University of Québec specialized in engineering and technological transfer education as well as applied research.

Currently, GRAM gathers the expertise of 3 professors, 4 assistant professors, 5 research associates, 4 post-docs, 1 technician and 20 graduate students.

The main goal of the GRAM is to limit the impact of noise and vibrations on the comfort, health and safety of workers and of the general public, as well as to facilitate the auditory perception of sound signals (speech, music or emergency signals). The five main research areas are: hearing protection, noise control materials, noise source localization, environmental noise and transfer path analysis methods.
